We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Norwegian privacy legislation. 

What we collect

This website is used for information, marketing and newsletters. All bookings and payments are handled through Airbnb, which has its own privacy policy. 

We collect: 

  • Name and email address, when you sign up for our newsletter
  • Technical data (IP address, browser, device information), when you visit the website

We do not collect payment information. Booking and payment are handled by Airbnb.

Newsletter

When you sign up for our newsletter, you consent to receiving information and updates from Stillpoint by the Sea. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email, or by contacting us directly. 

 

We track email opens and clicks to improve our content. 

Third-party services

We use the following service providers: 

  • Kajabi – email list, newsletter and website platform (name, email address, activity data). Kajabi is based in the US. Data transfer takes place on the basis of the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC).
  • Airbnb – booking and payment. Airbnb is an independent data controller for data you provide when booking. See Airbnb’s privacy policy at airbnb.com.

 

All service providers are required to protect your data through data processing agreements.

Cookies

Kajabi sets some cookies that are necessary for the website to function. If we introduce analytics or advertising tools, we will update this policy and activate a cookie banner requesting your consent before any non-essential cookies are set.  

You can change your cookie settings at any time through your browser. 

Retention and deletion

  • Newsletter and email list data: retained until consent is withdrawn, then deleted within 3 months
  • Technical data (IP address, browser data): maximum 90 days

 

Data is also deleted with our service providers in line with applicable procedures.

Your rights

You have the right to: 

  • Access – request information about what data we hold about you
  • Rectification – have inaccurate data corrected
  • Erasure – request deletion of your data
  • Restriction – restrict processing in certain circumstances
  • Objection – object to processing based on legitimate interest
  • Withdrawal of consent – withdraw consent you have given at any time
